Just played my first game of chess in four years.

Apparently my opponent was a chess champion during his high school years and currently partakes in the city’s chess club.

We whittled each other down to only several pawns after the trading of queens and rooks. The end came when he admitted defeat after his pawn fell to an en passant capture leaving several of my pawns free to advance to his end of the board, as his king was trapped in the corner opposite of the pawns.

Feels good to win again.

My campus LGBTQ organization will be handing out these trans 101 flyers in honor of trans awareness month and transgender day of remembrance. I know this stuff is really basic but I’d like to educate the campus about trans issues- it’s the first step in making Geneseo a safer/more accepting place!
